The Coca-Cola company started its campaign named World Without Waste in the year 2018 which revolves around three primary goals Design, Collect, and Partner.

In the design arena, they have aimed to make their iconic packaging 100% recyclable around the globe by the year 2025 and also to use 25% recycled waste in their packaging by the year 2030.

In the collection arena, they have aimed to collect bottles and cans for recycling and in the partnership, they have the intent to bring people together to support environmental sustainability.

Like A Bosch: Bosch

In 2020, Bosch was the first corporation with 400 locations and 4,00,000 employees to become climate-neutral.

Dr. Volkmar Denner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch said 

“Those who do not just consider climate protection, those who want to get serious about it, must answer three key questions: Why not right now, why not right here, why not ourselves?”

They have also started a Campaign named #LikeaBosch which inspires people to live sustainably.

Sustainable Packaging: LEGO

Lego is a plastic toy construction company. It has primary objective is to create sustainable packaging for its toy lines by the end of 2025.

Lego is currently using recyclable materials like paper for its packaging instead of Single Use Plastics. 

In the year 2020, they have also phased out plastic bags in their 500 Lego stores globally and will gradually replace them with paper bags approved by Forest Stewardship Council.

Global Reusable Campaign: Starbucks

The Coffee giant, Starbucks, took an appreciable step towards making the world sustainable from their side.

In the Global Reusable Campaign launched by Starbucks, It is offering discounts and in some countries a free reusable cup for customers who are bringing their mug or cup for enjoying Starbucks beverages.

Starbucks is encouraging and inculcating this habit of bringing their cup to the shops to stop wastage and for eco-sustainability.

Move to Zero: NIKE

Nike, a brand dealing with shoes, has launched a campaign named Move to Zero. According to this campaign, the brand targeted to move towards Zero Carbon and Zero Waste to support environmental sustainability.

This initiative by Nike primarily aims for protecting the future of sports from climate change. In addition to this Nike also has a goal of reducing carbon emissions globally by 30% by 2030.

Reimagine Strategy: Jaguar Land Rover

Land Rover’s campaign “Reimagine Strategy” is designed especially for setting new benchmarks in environmental sustainability.

They have a target to become a net zero carbon industry across its global supply chain of products, and operations by the end of the year 2039.

Under this mission, 100% Of UK manufacturing sites now achieve zero waste sent to landfill, 

360,000 Tonnes of closed-loop scrap reprocessed into lightweight aluminum vehicle architectures between 2013 and 2020, 14 million Single-use items removed from across our business, from disposable cups to vehicle part packaging, and 75% Of recycled aluminum content has been reused from the scrap generated by vehicle body pressings.

Rethinking Plastic: The Body Shop

The Body Shop is one of the 3,000 businesses worldwide to have the highest social and environmental standards for people and the planet.

They have aimed for using less plastic-based plastics and more plant-based and recycled plastics for their packaging and they are helping people around the globe to use the three R’s of sustainability that is Recycle, Reuse and Reduce.

Currently, more than 68% of their packaging can be recycled. They have taken pledged to make all their bath, body, and hair care products fully recyclable by the year 2025. They have undertaken a comprehensive review of their whole product portfolio as part of their packaging strategy.

These were some of the few companies that made commitments and took initiatives for making the habitat sustainable, but there are several other industries as well playing their role in making this Earth a better place to continue our lives.
